Good to know I am not the only person who does their own website construction and maintenance themselves. Really nice job man.
One thing - I went to your log and I saw the vid on TV/Morning Show you did. It hurt.
Why? It makes me sick when I see photographers display prints with colors of Kodachrome IN PRINT and then say there was no computer involved. So no digital capture, no giclee or lightjet printing, no HDR, no ICC profile... and the print was printed by hand on Cibachrome in a darkroom - RIGHT?
You are doing Photography a tremendous disservice (unless you are willing to share the actual chrome film of that shot AND explain how that GREEN grass and BROWN dirt has the same luminosity as a sky full of light IN THE SAME SHOT) by saying you do not use photoshop/computer.
Forgive me for being so harsh. I have issue with folks like Lik using that same rant to sell prints. I know MY craft deserves the respect of the likes of Ansel and being that this is my life's calling I do have the right to call a spade a spade.
Buddy - grow up or continue the sellside lie that is driving our economy/way of life to the gypsies.
There is nothing wrong with explaining how it is impossible to get a camera to see like our eyes. Or how we use tools to bridge that gap using only the light we capture. If that is a sale lost - all the better as that collector is looking for a whorhal.
Looking forward to weeding out the whorhal's and Ansel's in the group with the follow up - if I am so lucky.
