Hi,
By all means sell your prints with out mats. Put them in clear Bags with
foam core cut to size and your business card and brochure behind the foam
core on the back side so its visible. Serious collectors and just your
average buyer will by the work with any hesitation. They are buying the
image because they like it not becasue the mat matches the couch. You get to
reduce your inventory cost and increase your profit. I personal only mat
8x10 but lately I've been selling a few on matted and sell my my pano prints
ummatted. Everything 11x14 and upwards is sold unmatted except for a few
11x14" I frame for the gallery I belong to. The few festivals I do
I hang unmatted prints on the pro panels and they sell just fine. That's
just me I travel with very little glass/framed work. Most of my images are
mounted on wood panels and image printed on aluminum and other metal or
clear film that are mounted on ceramic tiles.

Give it a try and see how your sales are.

I am trying to decide how to offer my fine art prints for sale in the bins.
I had originally thought that I would mat them and put them in Clear Bags.
But after reading some discussion online, it seems that serious
photographers are simply putting the finished prints into the clear bags
with a stiffiner like acid free foam core or mat board and then letting the
customer decide later how to matt/frame them.
