[artshow_photo] Re: Pre-Show Anxiety.

Thanks, John...the more I read and think about it, the more I am really just looking forward to meeting other artists and enjoying a beautiful weekend outside with my art.

And since I've paid cash for everything, any money I make back will at least be money I make back, not eaten up with interest or what-have-you.

Cheers!

It took me two years of doing shows part time until I was starting to break even. Then I took the plunge and went full time in 2004. My first year was extremely hard financially. Even though I had saved up $6,000 before I left my "real job", within that first year I found myself in $10,000 of debt. The following year I was able to pay off the debt and have since have been only using cash and debit cards.

I too still have anxiety before shows and before my out of state trips, but I am truly happy with my decision to do this full time.

Your first shows are learning experiences. Actually every show is a learning experience, but especially your first couple dozen.
