[MyOlympus] Re: E620

Kitty,
I use Rawtherapee and Gimp for all my PP.
Both are freeware, although Rawtherapee's owner appreciates 20 usd on his paypal account. Both work together nicely and produce good results. You have nothing to lose with these softwares!
I often wonder about using expensive software for purely amateur
photography. I can understand buying software if you need to process hundreds of photos to a deadline, but for an amateur it seems en excessive expense that cant be put off against tax....

Rawtherapee and gimp with an ORF file from my ancient c5050z.

The software works great with DNG files too and Rawtherapee updates
often as well.

So I get a new 620 and am so excited, I just like using PSE and not have my computer full of different software. I like shooting RAW, I do not understand this convert to DNG, so I will look into the free converters or see if I can find an upgrade to Adobe RAW. This old brain of mine is sure getting filled up.
