I was looking at the stats for this forum and noticed that the heyday's were 2006 and 2007. We know the market crashed in 2008 but I'm figured many Art Fair artists were still going out and trying to sell in 2008.
2009 looks like a horrible year. Did artists just stop trying? Get out of the business? 2010 seems to have the same amount of posts (although I might account for 50% of those posts) as 2009 and with the economy rebounding I would think that this would be a good time for people to get back into the process of selling as there would be a lack of artists "out there".
I know the artists I have been around that are "like" me (large image artists as opposed to hundreds if 8x10s)are making profits and I know I certainly made a profit in my 1st year.
So what I'm wondering is whether we could be in for a fine art rebound with pent up demand.
