[artshow_photo] Re: Canon lens [24-105] and camera[40D] malfunction?

Thanks much for all the help -- I'm in Des Moines, IA so getting it fixed isn't probably possible and since I leave for Malta in about a week I think I'll rent the camera body and lens and just deal with it on return....the IS possibility sounds like what it may be [will call canon] and I may turn off the IS and see how it goes so I have more info when I call Canon MOnday.

Thanks much....I don't want the 60D anyway because I don't want video too....but if it'sthe lens that really is a heart breaker because I love my 24-105 and it won't be cheap to replace it [or maybe to fix it] - but worth exploring..
