[artshow_photo] Re: Pricing tag problem

My tags have a thumbnail of the image, the title and location of the
shot, and price information for all available sizes, matted and
framed. There's a checkbox next to each size that gets checked when
the tag goes on the wall. They are white type on a dark grey
background which matches my pro panels. I print them 8 up on an 8.5x11
sheet, trim them and laminate them with a hot-seal laminator. Velcro
dots on the back make it easy to stick 'em to the wall, and remove
them after a show.

The type is not overly large. I've found a couple of things using this
design:

1) People will still ask "Where was this shot taken?"
2) They will still inquire about the price or size.
3) They always ask "Which camera?"

Part of this I think is due to the design -- the type is small and
hard to read unless you really look. But here's the key takeaway: many
people would just as soon ask the artist, and engage in conversation
as read a tag. I've had many folks thank me for listing the location,
and having the thumbnail on tag helps identify which image is being
referred to on a crowded wall.

One of these days I'm going to redesign the tags. Slightly larger
type, and a bit more readable, maybe. Here's a link to the current
design:
