[artshow_photo] Re: signing mats/frames? Canvas?

 

I seem to be in the minority who chooses to sign in the lower left. But there is method to my madness -
On full bleed prints, such as gallery wraps, it is much easier to align the signature more accurately when signing on the left, as we (at least most of us) write from left to right. In the past I have errored in distance judgement when signing on the right, having to compress my last name, similar to the old "Plan Ahead" sign.

However, bottom line is there is no right or wrong way to sign your art.
