If you have an Epson that can support thick materials, you could actually
print an extension of the image directly on to the matboard.

Has anyone ever tried putting "texture" on a mat surface? I would like to
experiment with this, but the material would need to be dry...any ideas? I
have
a black and white bare tree that's really cool and I'd like to continue the
idea
out onto the mat!
