I've been in discussion groups and meetings of photography minded folks, and the it always comes down to camera bodies, glass and other acoutrements. They look at my work and ooh and ah over it until they find out that it was a 4 megapixel point n shoot that I used. Then I'm not part of the crowd anymore.
My Flickr images will stand up on their own. So I don't have the bux for the latest and greatest.
Are there egos? You bet. Some even earned them.
