RE: [artshow_photo] Merchant Made Easy.com?

Hi there - I have not used Merchant Made Easy.com, but I have used - and continue to use and recommend -
http://www.ChargeAmerica.com
One time setup fee of $99, a $25 yearly fee, $.40 per transaction, plus $2.9something percent of each sale. It pays for itself each year in a single show's usage. I use a knucklebuster, and call in the sales at the end of the day.
It used to be that they only charged $5 a month only during the months you actually used the service. They might still have that option, I don't know.
At any rate, I've never had a bit of trouble with them, and highly recommend them for folks who aren't doing a huge number of shows each year.
Hope this is helpful,
Deb

Subject: [artshow_photo] Merchant Made Easy.com?

Hello All:

In the past, I have not accepted credit cards as payment. Lately, I have been researching companies that offer merchant services. Last month someone in the forum recommended ProPay. I took a look at Propay and I backed off when I saw they did not have a telephone number for customer service or problems. This sort of reminds me of Paypal, but pay pal does have a phone number, but the make you dig to find it and limit you access unless the problem can not be solved by email. I also read one horror story about using Propay.

Has anyone done business with Merchant Made Easy.com? Any good or bad feed back. I'm interested in starting out with a knuckle buster and phoning in the charges at the end of the day. I would like to hear your impressions. I hate re-inventing the wheel. Thanks
