Re: [artshow_photo] Raw or lesser RAW?

 

No question about that at all, full RAW. Why would you buy a 14+MP
camera and then shoot at half resolution? And what if you get that
absolute fantastic shot and find that you have a market for it at full
resolution?

Anybody who has been around photography a while is going to be amused at
your whining about only getting 87 images on one roll of film, the rest
of us were always lucky to get 38 (and a lot of cameras enforced the
36-frame limit).

Storage is so cheap that it shouldn't be a factor in your decision.
Switch to 8GB cards, or buy more little ones. But you should only give
up image quality under duress, and file size no longer constitutes duress.
