I'd guess that if you have high-speed shoots it could be very helpful
to occasionally shoot two or three frames that come up while changing
cards. Imagine you've just filled a card and pulled it out when you see
a rhino charging your Land Rover. Or you fill the card when shooting a
wedding, you want to take just one or two more frames of the current
portrait group, and your assistant is still fifty feet away with the
next empty card.
I don't need it, and none of my cameras offer it, but it's not hard to
guess that this could be helpful for someone.
