Hey Group,
We recently launched a new educational website called Stockphotolicense.com to help image buyers, researchers and photographers learn more about images copyright and licensing matters. Stock Photo License provides a framework for making informed licensing decisions and stock photo purchases, and highlights online resources that can help protect against legal pitfalls.
From our press release,
"Stockphotolicense.com, an educational copyright resource for photo buyers and researchers, launches their new website today with the goal of explaining in simple terms how one can use an image online and the various legal complexities of digital image use. The site provides detailed information on image license types, photo copyright issues, legal protections and extensions, using free images, Creative Commons, personal vs. commercial use and provides a list of questions you can ask your image suppliers before you buy an image."

If anyone is interested in working together on this project in any capacity please let me know. I believe we need more education and awareness surrounding image use and how to legally use an image you find online. Pleading ignorance isn't a good excuse anymore for why someone used an image without a license in the future. This website will hopefully educate and explain legal image use and how to protect oneself.
Thoughts?
John
