If you must send in a CD, DVD to the Copyright Office, take the
package to your local Congressmen's office. They will deliver it free
via a currier rather than the Post Office thus escaping the radiation
requirements. Also, DVDs are more apt to become damaged under high
radiation than CDs due to the differences in dyes.
