Bankers boxes from an office supply store will do as a temporary
solution. They can do 8x10 in one direction or 11x14 in the other
direction. Since they are only ten inches high, the mats will stick
out an inch but be protected by the cover so they can still be
stacked. I actually cut heavy cardboard 11x14 and put it at both ends
to protect the matted prints.
