Attendance - it's the only thing I have to go on at the moment - I also agree as
I had my last show with 10,000 and people were not even glancing, doubled the
cost of the show but . . . . When I say attendance I'm stressing that these are
$65 entry fee non-jury shows for the most part.
Sorry if I'm sounding arrogant in anyway (am I?) - it's confidence (which is a
big selling point actually) and I was trying to keep MY prices down. I'm as
surprised as ANYBODY. $25 for a frame and $15 for the image and sell for $100,
I just wanted to see WHAT people were looking at.
I have one piece with 4 inch mat, classic black aluminum frame museum glass and
intend on more of those and a higher class of work for next year slightly larger
"ART" fairs! Small steps. Don't rush into things.

You keep mentioning attendance numbers. It's meaningless in
estimating or declaring sales figures.
As for frames, classic black aluminum is the easiest to universally
sell though most people prefer matted unframed.
