Re: [artshow_photo] Re: Copyright infringement on Facebook

Whether or not you can get a conviction on any of the charges listed is
not the point, being charged with them is. How long do you think your
employer will keep you around when you are charged with being a terrorist?

Deleting images from an ISP server isn't the crime, it is deleting them
from the card after they are taken. It is the same as pulling the film
from a camera, destruction of private property. There is probably
something on the books about intellectual property but I have never
talked to an IP lawyer, they are very expensive.

Police or citizen, you can not legally delete images that do not belong
to you. The police are able to but only if they obtain a court order first.

If you are legally on a property and can see it, you can photograph it.
There are restrictions in certain areas based on equipment (ie using
that 10000mm prime to look in a movie star's window) or location (ie
locker rooms, bathrooms, changing rooms, expectation of privacy stuff).
What you do with the photos later is a different legal matter. There are
states that have laws against upskirting but that is a completely
different topic.

There are people who will go to any amount of trouble, time, and money
to get something for "free". You cannot stop them, it is the cost of
doing business. You can make it difficult and expensive for them. How is
the question. If anybody figures it out, they will make a fortune.
