EXTREMELY "sketchy," IMHO. I believe the first part (that their barn
showed up in a gallery photo). The part about getting a cut of all
sales...not so much. There's something about "friend of a friend"
stories that lend themselves to exaggeration, under the guise of
"misunderstanding." It wouldn't surprise me in the least to learn that
the friend told your wife's co-worker that they OUGHT to be getting a
cut of sales, and that was somehow translated into that they WERE
getting a cut of sales.
