[artshow_photo] Re: Backpacking with Camera gear

 

I recommend most of the Granite Gear stuff - very reliable and light. They also make mulitple-sized side pouches that fit lenses. They are padded and have waterproof zippers. I use several. For short trips, you might try the Go Lite packs as well -- but they are not as good for photography - as a rule - as Granite Gear. Of course, in the tropics, many people like me use two packs - one for photography and one for camping equipment. In North American, without affordable guides and porters, that really isn't an option.
