Which version of Carbonite are you using? Reason I ask is that they have 2 versions. The consumer version does an initial backup at 3-4gb per day and then throttles down the bandwidth after 200gb. This is outlined on their website. While you have a 2TB array you didn't say how much actual data you were backing up. If it is 2tb then it would take something in excess of 500 days at 4gb per day to back it all up. And believe me, as of 6 months ago when I was last trying Carbonite my system was still running after 6 months and wasn't close to being done with 1tb.
Carbonite Pro stats says it will do 6gb per day. So that would take about 333 days. But the cost would be more than $250 per MONTH, actually they only quote up to 499GB.
Thats the issue with online storage at least with these types of programs. For a casual home user an easy way to go. But a photographer that has a large number of files it probably isn't a viable solution. The cost-benefit-time ratio just isn't there when hard drives are so cheap.
I've even thought of putting another computer at a friends house and then FTP'ing my files. Might work but then I wonder if Comcast, when they see a constant stream of data, may impose a limit on my cable modem.
