I probably will shop for external bare drives this weekend= almost
any kind of drive can and will die and like Judy, I have so much
redundency that while 'tragic' it's not fatal. My problem is that
the redundency is not 'organized redundency' - my plan for end of
this year and early next is to work on clean up and organization and
having some sort of system created and in place. I do have and use
CDFinder to have a complete listing of contents of drives etc. but
the issue then appears to be my haphazard naming of the drives
themselves = my own fault.
So will be doing some renaming of drives, backing up or copying to
them certain things in logical manner and hoping to get some sort of
organization to it all that makes sense. But I still like the idea
of an online repository = since I use SmugMug as my gallery also,
that's one possible location of at least the 'favorite' images = and
CostCo also lets you put images there free = as long as you're
printing or ordering from them from time to time.
