Thanks to all for the answers and info= I'll check into Backblaze tho
there are some others I'm looking into = the problem with buying yet
another harddrive is that I have too many of them already = remember
the days when a 500 or 750G harddrive was a wonderous thing? Well I
still have a bunch of those plus several 1-2 TB drives == [I have a
Wiebetech RTX400 4 bay thing that lets me put 4 drives in it for
access etc. but as I am finding, it's almost too much to have many
drives from which to find things === I want to have fewer sources
of the stuff, not a gazillion of drives....will keep researching and
see waht I can find.
