I've had great success with krylon acid free gold leafing pen on
photographs...it has a nice, wide chiseled tip (which actually makes
it a bit challenging as I sign small, so I hold it so just a corner is
touching the surface). It dries almost instantly on the photo paper
and is smudge free.
