Hi Victoria:
I really like the Canon 16-35mm L. I have the first version, and the newest has a II at the end.
You may instead want to look at a 10-20mm or 10-24mm lens. I can't comment on them, but Tamron, Canon, Sigma and Tokina all have options available. Also consider factory refurbished lenses-they carry the same warranty. Just be sure to buy from a reputable seller.
