Hi all,
Okay, I know that this is a loaded question. I'm an oil painter,
but use a lot of pictures as reference and to help with compositions. I
also take photos of all of my paintings and do my own prints.
Currently, I have a regular PC with a lot of ram and hard drive space to
do my image processing work and also software development. I also have
a laptop PC so that I can also do my photoshop work/development on the road.
Someone had brought an iPad to a studio that I was working in and
it looked pretty neat. She was able to show a lot of photos, easily and
quickly crop/resize, etc the photos. It was also easier to work with
images rather than opening the laptop, etc.
So, with the fact that it's a very useful ebook/pdf reader and
dealing with the images, is there some really useful way to use the iPad
to make it worth the $500 pricetag? Just the image manipulation/ebook
reader/web browser doesn't really want me to make the leap to pay for
it. How do you use it that would make it more effective than using a
standard laptop?
Note: I also sell my paintings/prints at craft shows.
