A lot of the images that I am considering for use in ZAPP jurying for 2011 have black or very dark backgrounds. As such, when adding black to the canvas background in Photoshop to get the 1920x1920 preferred image size the image can tend to lose some of its impact because it seems to fade into that extra black border. I'm considering putting a thin white border on the image before adding the extra black to the canvas but don't know how that might go over with jurors.
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks
Phil
