[artshow_photo] Re: Recommend a sign maker?

I used a franchised sign maker about 15 years ago. I believe it was called Signs r us, or something similar. They were located in many local strip malls, and still may be today. I believe the substrate was called Sintra or Styrene, which is a sheet of white, solid plastic-type material. My sign has black vinyl letters computer-cut. It is 18"x30", cost me $75 then, and still looks good today. It is completely weather-proof, and unlike vinyl, is stiff. Having pro panels, and a pro panel desk, I apply it at each show with velcro. If you live in an urban area, check around for any franchised sign makers, or check online. Shipping should not be an issue.

One sign is smaller, and I printed it twice on the sheet, since I wanted a two-sided sign. I used an awl to punch two small holes and attached some hooks and a small chain for hanging it.

And they are not durable like a wooden sign, but I transport them along with my 20x30 canvases, so so far they are handling the use, though eventually I'm sure I'll eventually need to redo them. But they were cheap to do!
