Another useful tool is Safari's Web Inspector. Enable it under
Preferences>Advanced, and check the "Show Develop Menu..." box. It
runs on Macs and PCs both, but you do need Safari 3. On Windows, it
helps to enable the menu bar so that the "Develop" item shows.
The Web Inspector gives you an under the hood look at load times,
resource sizes and other items. It can also mimic other browsers, and
lets you track resources while running the site. Adobe Browser Lab is
a bit kludgier, and has less features.
