Honestly, Oscar -
I don't think twitter helps at all unless you have a tremendously large audience. I've spoken with artists and large conservation orgs about this. On the other hand, I have a great facebook following. I routinely get people asking about sales; it's also a good way for customers to get to know your integrity as an individual. The downside is that your life becomes a lot less private - but I think that's one of the things I signed up for when I joined facebook.
Like many, I thought about just making a "Noah photography facebook" page but I don't have the time or inclination to maintain two facebook pages without a full time email administrator. Good luck; it's a sketchy road - a lot of work. I can say that I've had many sales from facebook but it's also another thing to manage.
I don't really have any comments or experience about blogs. My gut feeling is that it's important - a buddy just got a gigapan camera because of his blog. But that's also because his work is high quality and he is updating it every single day. Hours of work a week. I'm not that invested in that kind of commitment yet; it's a tough road.
Good luck,
Noah
