[artshow_photo] Shipping of large items

Just a shameless plug. I had found a used Drytac JM44 laminator in near new condition at a great price. Trouble was I am in Denver, unit was in Tampa. Found a company, Craters & Freighters, on the web and got a quote from them and several others. Price was better than competitive for the shipping and they would pick up the unit where it was, crate it and ship it.

So I'm expecting something like multiply heavy corrugated cardboard with wood reinforcement. What shows up today is a piece of art in its self. All 1/2 to 3/4 plywood, 2x4, screwed, nailed, palletized, unit bubble wrapped and then shrink wrapped like a boat. The crate alone weighed about 250#. I don't know how Drytac normally ships but this thing looked like something a museum would use to ship the King Tut exhibit.

So if you ever find a piece of equipment, like a large printer, or need to move your entire display and art for an exhibit give these folks a try. You won't be disappointed.
