RE: [artshow_photo] Applying to shows - Check or Money Order?

What's wrong with the money sitting there? How do you keep track of your balances? I use a spreadsheet that I designed. It keeps track of all of the outstanding checks I've sent and lets me know how much I really have in there.

Subject: [artshow_photo] Applying to shows - Check or Money Order?

I'm finding it increasingly irritating to send hundreds of dollars to apply to a show only to have them sit on the check's for months!

Is it OK to send a cashiers or Money Order or Bank Check - - something so the money is OUT of my account and I can move on?

Or do most only take checks so they can give them back (which has not happened yet).
