Because it's a lot easier then having virtual money in an account for 5 months!
I didn't say it was impossible to keep track of. I'm riding a very very thin
wire here - applying for an art show takes $$ away from getting things
printed!
remember I'm not in the self sustaining Art Fair mode yet. HOPEFULLY this year
will put me over that hump.

What's wrong with the money sitting there? How do you keep track of your
balances? I use a spreadsheet that I designed. It keeps track of all of the
outstanding checks I've sent and lets me know how much I really have in there.

Subject: [artshow_photo] Applying to shows - Check or Money Order?
I'm finding it increasingly irritating to send hundreds of dollars to apply to a
show only to have them sit on the check's for months!
Is it OK to send a cashiers or Money Order or Bank Check - - something so the
money is OUT of my account and I can move on?
Or do most only take checks so they can give them back (which has not happened
yet).
