RE: [artshow_photo] An idiot Q: changing image to 1200 x 1200 pixels at 300dpi

This works (for me) with both Photoshop CS3 and CS5 (never got to CS4. In
fact I am working on a Blurb Book and just cropped a whole slew of images
using this technique. The image I just cropped was a panorama of 6,174 px by
2,574 px (17.15"x7.15" at 360 ppi) to 6,000 px width and 2100 px height
(20"x7") at 300 ppi and it worked just fine. Maybe you are not specifying
pixels in the crop dialog boxes?

Maybe the default with the crop tool in CS4 is inches, and you need to
specify pixels (px)?

So selecting the crop tool in the width box I put in "6000 px" and in the
height box I put "2100 px" and in the resolution box I put 300 with
pixels/inch selected from the drop down box on the right. Dragged the crop
tool across the image and it was done.

Hope this helps

Mike

Are you talking about Photo Shop software. I have tried your recommendation
10 times and it results in a file that the computer says is too large to
carry out. I am using CS4. What are talking about?
