I use Sandisk Extreme III 16 GB cards. They are very fast for transfer rate if you are shooting bursts at higher resolution and the 16GB is plenty of storage especially since there are slots for 2 cards. I have had mine for 6 weeks and it is a fabulous machine. I have shot more than 5000 frames with it in all kinds of light and it amazes me what I get for results.
Had D80 and a D90 before the 7000 and it is impressive. Hope this helps. GH

Doesn't the manual specify what class card you need? I know the Canon
manuals do.
