OK, that's good.
As I mentioned, I'm not really a Mac person...I know just enough about them to be really dangerous :) I should have realized at 24", it must be an LCD panel... a CRT would make it weigh about as much as a VW..

The original iMac had a tube, but that was ages ago and it was only a
15". Those were discontinued March 2003. Somehow I don't think anyone
would worry too hard about replacing the 6 GB drive in one of those!
As I recall, the high-voltage lead to the tube was pretty well
protected, you wouldn't have reason to encounter it when replacing the
drive.
