Yes, Fran, please don't this sort of behavior become acceptable. My thoughts
were for you to file a small claims suit towards these folks; you have a
medical in hospital emergency situation and didn't get a refund, something
is not right with that. I hope you will bring this to the attention of
others such that you recoup your funds and this doesn't happen to
anyone.letting this go might be reinforcing for it to happen again.I can
only guess how you feel.

This is a terrible response to an artist with a serious health problem. I
would like to see you bring this to the attention of NAIA (National
Association of Independent Artists), because this behavior on the part of a
show should be brought to widespread attention-and giving the show director
a chance to defend his or her behavior. NAIA can help be an advocate for
artists who are caught in difficult situations.
