I am not planning on taking time off. This is how I make a living (or lack
thereof!) I do plan on staying closer to home. I think when artists "take off
a year" and then come back to shows they have done in the past will find that
some of those shows are not what they used to be. Promoters may fill those
spaces with crafts instead of fine arts. Also there are a lot of new young
artists waiting to get into these shows. Just because you are an experienced
artist doesn't mean you don't have to keep your work out there, new & fresh.
The economy may be tough going but I feel like there are still plenty of
potential customers. Becky
