The HueyPRO works fine, although it's on the lightweight side and the
little stand on mine is broken. Actually, although it's plugged in here
I haven't gotten around to installing the software as I simply haven't
done any critical color work over the winter. I bought it when my
previous machines (both Mac and Windows) still had tubes installed and
the calibration differences were stunning.
It never helped much on my laptop, but I don't think that's the fault of
the calibrator, it's a cheap laptop.
Since then I have replaced the Mac with an iMac and put a pair of pretty
nice LCDs on the Windows machine (and then upgraded the machine), and
neither monitor needs much correction.
If you've already got one Spyder, I'd suggest you get a second one for
the second location, and put the newer one at the location you use most
intensively. On the other hand, the Huey has the feature of monitoring
room light and changing the calibration to respond to that every five
minutes, which can be very helpful in some situations.
