When I needed some images for a project in 2004, I googled for something and came to iStockphoto. I decided to sell some of my images from the project to make my money back. Exclusivity was introduced 3 months later, so I signed up.
And here we are ;)

ps. IS exclusivity deals only with artist exclusivity on RF content.
