And there are many ways of printing that it doesn't even matter for prints. What matters for prints as well is number of pixels as well. Some printing programs/procedures may look at the dpi/ppi setting and interpret it and you may use it in Photoshop to determine how many pixels you need if you are downsizing or upsizing, but what really matters is the aspect ratio and the number of pixels.
