Hi Rod:

I think Lightroom or it's main competitor, Aperture, is well worth the investment if you want to do any type of batch processing, and/or if you shoot RAW (or if you want to place multiple images on a page and have them printed without matching the resolutions (like a RIP). You might want to download a trial first and read some tutorials to make sure it is the right choice.
