I would add that the LAST thing an artist wants is to get blacklisted from a
show...or worse. Promoters talk to each other, blacklisted from a region?
I may be the only one with this opinion, but I always apply with whatever
body of work I plan on showing, with an actual booth that I plan on showing
and with or without print racks exactly as I plan on showing. If that
prevents me from being in some shows, so be it. The last thing I need is to
have to keep track of multiple "personalities".
If multiple entries become the norm, shows will be invaded (some already
are) with artists who multiple entry concurrent multiple shows and send
representatives with fake IDs to all the "artist must be present" shows.
Playing around with the rules just produces more rules, which hurts everyone
attempting to make a living doing art festivals.
Weren't we just complaining about the show police?
JMHO,
Maria

The three different bodies of work all had the same double booth
slide which was photographed from far enough away that you couldn't
see the work hanging clearly. Knowing the photographer personally, I
would say he was doing everything he could to get into the show. If
he had a different booth slide, he wouldn't have come across as being
suspect.
My point is that you want the jurors discussing your work for
positive reasons, not negative reasons.
