Get a glass cuting knife and a stright edge. For plexiglass which is perfered by many gallerys you will need a chop saw with a composite blade. Plexiglass is much better for safty and shipping. )You can remove some minor scratches and flip it over to hide most others. Usualy one side is glare and one is less glare.there is also a non glare version with a similar suttle differance from one side to the other You can also buy a scratch resistant version for about 50$ a sq. ' Which is comparable to museum grade glass. Ck out american frame.com. They offer both as well as a complete line of nielson bainbridge frames. One size matt about 2" nominal white. They will upload your picture dry mount it on foam core board mat fit and frame it and ship it to your customer for under 200 $ for a 24 x 36" frame. They will give you a nice letter size doc showing your picture mated and framed with a detailed cost. Which you can email to your customer and save for your files. You also can delete the itemized cost and provide a net price. Mike V

thanks for all the info. i would love to get the text of your 'info sheet'. i think that is a great idea. i didn't realize that acrylic scratches easily, and that the scratches can be removed. i saw some frames advertised with acrylic and thought they might be a good (and comparably priced) alternative since i can no longer get the ones with glass that i am running out of (they accommodate a standard 20x24 mat for a 16x20 photo). suggestions?
