It's probably a button somewhere but . . . .
Every time I plug any memory into my computer Lightroom automatically takes
off! Is there an option somewhere that I can turn that off?

Easy. Just shoot from an angle so you see the edges of the frames on
the third wall. You don't have to see what's in the frames.
There are shows that want to see all three walls of your canopy.
