I was doing that before and I did have a lot of problems with waving. I
switched to t mounts and have had no problems since (knocking on wood).

Subject: [artshow_photo] Re: Basic Question Of "To Dry Mount Or Not"
Ok, I am still confused after the help I've gotten so far... :)
Has anyone used Bay Photo mounting services? I am looking at the 2mm Styrene
whose description reads:
"Prints are mounted on white or black 2mm Styrene using pressure sensitive
materials. Styrene is a super smooth plastic mounting substrate that resists
warping, making it an excellent choice for adding durability to prints of
all sizes."
Is this even dry mounting or am I way off base to begin with?
I thought I was hinge mounting, but now I read about t-mounting and I am
suddenly unsure of everything. What I do is put two (three for larger
pieces) strips of acid free tape half on the back of the print and half on
the mat. What I am doing and what is the definition of the other forms of
tape mounting.
