Getting some pocket sized Constitutions is a great idea, the Cato Institute
has them $10 for 10 + about $5 shipping.
But I can assure you that the cops have the right to stop you whenever they
want and to do a safety/rules of the road compliance inspection of your
vehicle at any time. They cannot search a personal vehicle without
reasonable cause but they can weigh the trailer and truck at will. And
handing the cop a constitution will probably not improve your chances of
getting a warning.
