[artshow_photo] Art Shows in UK?

Hi, I'm new here today, so hello everyone!

Are there any members who are UK-based - especially South or South East England?

I've been considering taking a pitch at an art show for a while, but they vary enormously. There are local ones, full of local artists selling paintings and photographs for a few pounds, and then there are big shows, organised with military precision, and costing £hundreds for a pitch.

Then there's the cost of printing, mounting/matting, display equipment, and decisions about which sizes to offer - which sizes are likely to be most popular. And, of course, setting the right price so that your work sells, but without leaving you out of pocket or looking like an amateur, or annoying your fellow exhibitors by pricing far too low.

Is there an Artshows Basics / for Dummies / Intro type article around here, by any chance?
