Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and many times art buyers aren't looking for a particular subject of image but trying to fill a space with something of a certain size and colors to fit in with their interior design. As long as the photograph is nice it can be bought but size and colors are often a higher point of consideration than the actual image itself.
As photographers we think of the image being of utmost relevance, but buyers think differently.
