The downtown hotels nearest the show are the Hyatt on East Wacker Drive, and the two hotels just across the river, by the Wrigley Building. There are several other on Wacker West of Michigan, the Hard Rock Hotel, on Michigan in the old Carbide and Carbon Building, and the hotels south on Michigan. There are also a number of hotels in the Loop and the Financial District. All will be at lest a couple of blocks from Millenium Park.
If you priceline the Loop area, you are most likely to get the huge Hilton Michigan and Congress, which is showing its age, but is adequate. It is a bit of a walk to Millenium Park, though. The Congress Hotel is only downtown hotel that Amy has on her list. Both of them are in the same general area.
If inexpensive is better, I'd stay out in Skokie, or look at the hotels near the airport and take the extra hour to drive in.
These downtown shows are not cheap to do.
